The Keswick Convention brings 15,000 people to Keswick over a period of 3 weeks in the summer.    To give local community groups and charities the opportunity to promote themselves to this large group of visitors as they travel between the Pencil factory and the town, Keswick Town Council has arranged a market stall to be set up at a prominent position in the town centre.

The space is FREE to book.  Charities or groups will need to bring their own table/ stands etc with them.  The space is not licensed to collect donations, only for promotion and education.    It will be located opposite the Town Hall on the pedestrianised area between Alpkit and Fat Face, facing out towards the road.  The busiest times are likely to be late-morning to early afternoon, although the town centre will also be busy outside of these times with non-convention visitors and locals.

The stand space will be in operation each weekday 10-4 (except market day on Thursday).  There are 12 days available over the three weeks.  Spaces will be allocated on a first come first served basis.  When the slots are gone they are gone!

Cllr Louise Dunn, Mayor of Keswick said ‘Keswick town centre is incredibly busy during the convention and we thought it would be a good opportunity to showcase the amazing voluntary and charitable work that goes on in our community– from local charities, to community groups and trusts.  The footfall will be huge so it’s a real opportunity to raise awareness.”
