Yvonne Booth appointed as Keswick Town Council’s new Events Coordinator
Keswick Town Council is thrilled to announce the appointment of Yvonne Booth as our new Events Coordinator. Well known in the Keswick area for her voluntary work, and her organising of the annual 10 in 10 challenge to raise funds for Multiple Sclerosis, Yvonne brings a wealth of expertise and creativity to the role.
In her position as Events Coordinator, Yvonne will oversee the planning and organisation of the Town Council’s events, from Christmas Lights to Party in the Park, as well as aiming to introduce two events next year, a Mayday event and Keswick Games.
“We are excited to welcome Yvonne to the Events team,” said Vivien Little, Town Clerk. “Her passion for benefitting the people of Keswick, as well as her experience with planning events will only make our events better in the future.”
Yvonne said “There are so many exciting Keswick events planned for 2025, and I am really looking forward to being part of the fantastic team helping to organise and develop these events for the Keswick people. Bringing the Keswick community together throughout the year is very important and these events are going to be great fun for everyone.”
Dates for 2025 Events so far set are:
- Mayday event – Monday 5 May 2025
- VE Day commemoration – Thursday 8 May 2025
- Party in the Park – Saturday 28 June 2025
- Scruffs – Sunday 29 June 2025
- Christmas Lights Switch On – Friday 21 November 2025
