Holiday Nuisance Complaints

The number of holiday properties in Keswick has grown considerably in the last 3 years. In addition there is a trend of B&Bs to change use to large holiday lets, with owners that delegate all management to agencies. The council has received complaints from local residents about issues with holidays lets, including but not limited to: noise nuisance and anti-social behaviour, ‘party house’, poor maintenance and issues with litter.

Keswick Town Council has put together a form for residents of Keswick to fill in order to gather evidence on how widespread this issues is, and spot emerging trends, and it can then be reported to agencies that could help (MP, Cumberland Council, Lake District National Park Authority and the Police). Please fill in the form below.

Your name and address are required on the form, but this is for our own use – names and addresses will not be passed on without your permission. We intend to publish anonymised data and regularly report this to the Town Council.
