Standing Orders & Financial Regulations

A local council should have a rule book (Standing Orders) for the routine conduct of its meetings and business. Although this is not a legal requirement, it is recognised good practice.  Financial Regulations are the ‘standing orders’ of the Town Council that regulate and control its financial affairs and accounting procedures.  The Financial Regulations are reviewed on an annual basis by the Responsible Finance Officer for approval and adoption by Council
